Bună! Eu sunt Raluca.
I am an integrative psychotherapist, licensed for independent practice by the Romanian College of Psychologists. My professional training is also recognised by the Romanian Federation of Psychotherapy (FRP) and follows the professional standards of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP).
At the heart of the way I work is a warm, empathetic, and authentic presence. I believe that feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood can be an important part of the therapeutic process and can create the safety needed for meaningful change.
My interest in people and their inner worlds began early in my life. Even during my school years, I noticed that people often felt comfortable opening up to me and sharing their experiences, sometimes even when we did not know each other very well. Looking back, I see this as one of the first signs of what would later become an important part of who I am: a genuine desire to listen, to understand, and to be there for others.
Over time, I have come to understand that being there for someone is not about having all the answers or trying to solve their life for them. It is about walking alongside them as they make sense of what they are going through, reconnect with themselves, and gradually discover their own answers and direction.
I believe that each of us carries valuable inner resources, even when they may feel difficult to access beneath layers of pain, confusion, fear, or challenging life experiences. Therapy can offer a safe and supportive space to reconnect with those parts of yourself, understand yourself more deeply, and move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bucharest in 2013 and later completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychological Counselling. I also completed my 5-year training in Integrative Psychotherapy within the Association for Research, Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy, combining theoretical study with extensive personal development work.
My journey has also taken me abroad, including time spent in China and South Africa, where I took part in training programmes, volunteering, and experiences that shaped me both personally and professionally. Living and working across different cultures has shaped the way I connect with people today: with openness, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique experience.
But beyond being a therapist, I’m also a woman moving through life, learning, growing, questioning, navigating uncertainty, and getting to know myself more deeply along the way.
I don’t believe that being a therapist means having life all figured out. I believe it means being willing to stay curious, to reflect, and to keep growing, both personally and professionally. Perhaps this is also part of what allows me to meet the people I work with not only with professional knowledge, but with humanity, openness, and genuine understanding.
I don’t know your story yet, but if you’ve made it this far, perhaps there is a part of you that wants to understand yourself better, feel differently, make different choices, or change something about the way you’re living your life.
In therapy, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can explore what you’re going through, make sense of your emotions and patterns, and reconnect with yourself. I believe that, with time and the right support, we can develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
For me, therapy isn’t about quick fixes or someone else giving you all the answers. It’s about creating the space to discover your own answers, understand what you need, and make changes that feel meaningful to you.
I believe that, beneath many of the things we search for in life, there is a simple human need: to feel safe within ourselves and at peace with who we are. And when we begin to build that sense of safety within ourselves, it can ripple into other areas of our lives, into the relationships we build, the choices we make, the way we connect with others, and ultimately, into a deeper sense of meaning and a more fulfilling life.
As you begin to understand yourself more deeply, recognise your patterns, and notice what keeps repeating in your life, you can begin to relate to yourself and to others in a different way.
